Indexing means that the page is eligible to show up in Google's search results.
The three main processes of search engines are: crawling the site, indexing the pages, and ranking the results based on the helpfulness of the content and many other factors.
The process of indexing involves crawling, where Google analyzes the keywords and content to understand its relevance to users' searches.
To get a website indexed faster, you can use the Google Search Console URL inspection tool to submit pages for re-indexing.

When content is published on your Shopify Store, Google can index the post to serve it on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP).
To request indexing, users can use Google Search Console:
- Selecting the property you want to index
- Go to "Sitemaps"
- Entering the last part of the URL after / type in "sitemap.xml"
- Submit the sitemap
- This will then show you the status, date last read, and number of URLs discovered
After submitting the sitemap, Google will review the site and index new pages, addressing any issues in the process.
Once the site is indexed, users can monitor their site's performance in the Dashboard of Plug In SEO and in the Performance tab. You'll see information such as rankings, click-through rate, total impressions, and clicks from organic traffic.
