Why Keywords are Important in SEO:
Keywords are the words, or search terms, that your customers use when searching for information on a product to buy in a search engine. When you understand what search terms are being used by your potential customers, you can then add these keywords strategically into your content.
Before you start optimizing your content, you need to do some research to identify which keywords have strong relevance to your products and will bring qualified traffic to your website.
Your research should lead you to some simple keywords (simple, broad search terms) and also phrases known as “long-tail keywords” (keyword phrases that have 2-3 or more words). Typically long-tail keywords lower search volume relative to simple keywords. However, the long-tail keyword these keywords are more specific and more accurate and will help you target the right kind of audience. For example, there are likely more searches for the word PUPPY than there would be for Cute Poodle Puppies For Sale Near 90210.

For example, let's suppose you have an online shop that sells cute puppies. Your search engine optimization (SEO) strategy revolves around being sure that when a potential customer is searching for cute puppies for sale. Your shop shows up high in the search engine results pages (SERPs).
If you do some research about the search terms that people who are looking to buy a puppy use you'll learn that there are many search terms in range from very narrow, to quite broad.
The phrases and words found in the People also search for section of Google's search results pages offer some clues about words and phrases that are commonly used to search on this topic. The can be good keywords for you to use in your content.

Keyword Idea Generator
If you're not sure where to being with your keywords we recommend using the keyword idea generator. To begin navigate to the Keyword Studio, then click Generate New Ideas.
Enter your domain name and your the link to your blog. We'll use the content in these two URLs to generate keyword ideas for you.
Select the keywords that are relevant to your site and then click the checkmark button at the top right side of the screen.
Expert Mode
If you've already done your keyword research using a different tool, you can go paste a list of keywords using the expert mode.
To begin navigate to the Keyword Studio, then click Expert Mode.
Paste the list of keywords that you'd like to have into the text box separated by commas. Then click save.
We'll automatically remove keyword duplicates for you.
