How do I write a strong homepage title and description?

Unlike other pages, your shop has a single homepage, so simply writing a title and description in the field (without any Liquid code) is the best approach for SEO.

Your homepage is the most important page for SEO. As such, it is important to take the time to write a compelling, keyword-rich title and description.

Create a Homepage Title

Your homepage title should:

• Be no longer then a sentence
• Use 4-5 keywords or key phrases
• Format as a sentence, not a list
• Summarize the products that you sell and what makes your shop unique 

 To add a homepage title:

1. Review the 'Example Title' below
2. Copy and paste it into the Homepage 'Title Template' field in the Plug in SEO app
3. Change the text to something more appropriate for your shop
4. Press 'Save and preview'
5. Scroll down and view the new title in the 'Live Search Engine Preview'
