DOM refers to HTML tags, or the amount of coding on your website. Some HTML files might have 90 lines of code, but a DOM heavy site could have thousands.

A site is considered to have “excessive” DOM size if there are more than 1500 HTML elements on the page.

You can get an idea of the DOM load on your website in our report, or right click and "view source" on your own site!
